The TREKKING requires 3 hours of travel to reach a high altitude (400 m), allowing to attend the explosions from areas nearby. It is advisable to travel with authorized guides.

The volcano´s continual eruption lead visitors to climb it every day, providing a good income source for the island.

Boats dock at Porto Scari. Uphill are San Bartolo, San Vincenzo and Scari composing Stromboli. To visit the crater you have to go along the waterfront road.

ONE NIGHT ACCOMMODATION in a TYPICAL AEOLIAN RESIDENCE (3 stars) in the centre of Stromboli, just a few steps from the harbour. Kitchen, Private Bathroom with hot shower, Air-Con, TV, Terrace with nice view, ideal for private sunbathing and relax. Linens and towels included.

DEPARTURE in the afternoon from ST. VINCENZO (Stromboli island). Accompanied by VOLCANOLOGICAL POLYGLOT GUIDES, you will initially go up passing through ANCIENT TOMBS and then climb a narrow path full of blackberry bushes until reaching the “LUNAR AREA”, where nature becomes wild and untouched with its everchanging landscapes . We will go past the SCIARA DEL FUOCO (STREAM of FIRE), until we REACH the SUMMIT “PIZZO” at 918 m., in a BEAUTIFUL NATURAL TERRACE, 200m above the VOLCANIC VENTS. There we will stop for about an hour. Descent from the south-east and arrival to the village of SAN VINCENZO.

Evening at leisure.

The next day you will be free to spend it on beach and in the typical village of San Vincenzo.
